Webster County Sheriff’s Deputy Chris O’Brien investigates a pickup truck and a car that were involved in an accident on Nelson Avenue and 300th Street near Burnside. O’Brien said the silver pickup, which was driven by Joshua Loosbroch, was traveling westbound while the red car, driven by Marco Sanchez, was heading north. According to O’Brien, Sanchez said his brakes were not working and he couldn’t stop his car, causing him to crash into the driver’s side of the pickup. Though a passenger in the pickup needed to be extricated, O’Brien said nobody was seriously hurt. Sanchez and two passengers in Loosbroch’s pickup were taken to Trinity Regional Medical Center, while Loosbroch declined medical treatment. The names of the passengers were not immediately available. The Otho Fire Department also responded to the scene.
