Seven young men from Fort Dodge attended the American Legion Hawkeye Boys State at Camp Dodge from June 15-20.
American Legion Hawkeye Boys State is a weeklong hands-on experience in the operation of the democratic form of government, the organization of political parties, and the relationship of one to the other in shaping Iowa government. The delegates are sponsored by these local service clubs: Sertoma Sundowners, Noon Sertoma, Noon Kiwanis, Golden K Kiwanis, Daybreak Rotary, and the local post of the American Legion.
