CEDAR FALLS - The No. 3 (Class 4A) Fort Dodge softball team jumped back into the win column with a sweep of Cedar Falls on Friday.
After winning the opener by a 3-2 count, the Dodgers (13-3 overall) prevailed in the nightcap, 9-4.
Maddie Egli went 2-for-3 at the plate in Game 1 with a double and a run scored. Lexi Astor added a triple.
Ace Mallory Kilian (6-2) posted the victory, while Meagan Hartman recorded the last 11 outs for her first save of the year. With runners on second and third and two outs in the bottom of the seventh, Madi Bennett made a running catch from her second base position to seal the deal for Fort Dodge.
"I was extremely proud of Meagan Hartman," said FDSH head coach Andi Adams. "She's just a freshman, but she acts like a senior. Her mound presence and the way she carries herself is very impressive."
In the second contest, Egli was a perfect 4-for-4 with a double. Bennett also finished 2-for-4 with a run scored and a RBI.

McKinna Teske and Riley Hartman each smacked their first career home runs. Teske's longball was a solo shot, while Hartman's was a two-run blast.
The Dodgers plated at least one run in five different frames, including three in both the second and third.
Cassie Tjebben (3-0) went the distance in the circle, scattering eight hits with five strikeouts.
"I thought we played better in the second game," Adams said. "We are a team, and our kids need to come together and play for each other in order to be successful."
Fort Dodge outhit the Tigers (3-13) in the doubleheader, 18-10.
Next outing for Fort Dodge is Monday at CIC Northern Division rival Mason City.
