A Fort Dodge man is awaiting his next appearance in court after posting bond in an assault case.
Rodney Leadley, 47, is facing one count of aggravated assault after allegedly stabbing another man in the leg Monday afternoon.
Fort Dodge Police were called to the emergency room at Trinity Regional Medical Center after a report of a potential stabbing.
When they arrived, Chief Tim Carmody said officers began speaking with the alleged victim, who said he had been stabbed in the upper leg and hand during a fight with Leadley.
The fight happened at 230 N. 13th St., according to Carmody.
Officers found Leadley Monday afternoon and took him into custody. Leadley was also taken to Trinity for treatment of injuries he received during the fight.
Both Leadley and the other man were released from the hospital Monday.
Leadley made his initial appearance in Webster County Magistrate Court Tuesday morning. Prior to his appearance, he had already posted a $2,000 bond, which Magistrate William Habhab continued. The judge also issued a no-contact order between Leadley and the alleged victim.
Leadley's case was sent to Webster County District Court.
