"This was the most positive game we've played, said Fort Dodge head coach Nathan Ramthun. "We were playing well together and kept pushing each other.
"It's nice to end the regular season with a win, heading into the postseason."
The Dodgers outshot the Mohawks 18-4 and Mason City's lone goal came late in the second half.
"We moved the ball around really well,'' Ramthun said. "Our defense played tremendous and our forwards made good runs, opening up space for midfielders to work.''
The Dodgers travel to West Des Moines on Wednesday to face Dowling at 5 p.m. in their postseason opener.
