WEBSTER CITY - The St. Edmond boys tennis team blanked Webster City by a 9-0 count on Tuesday.
Earning singles wins for the Gaels (10-2 overall) were Zach Gailey, Patrick Hancock, Jimmy Averill, Ben Albright, Konrad Laufersweiler and John Eide.
In doubles competition, the duos of Gailey and Eide, Laufersweiler and Averill and Albright and Hancock all prevailed.
"It was a cold and windy night, " said St. Edmond head coach Tyler Philipsen. "We took care of business for the most part, which is good with districts on Thursday."
On the junior varsity side, Jacob Meyer posted a singles victory for the Gaels. In doubles, the tandems of John Itzen and John Michael Li and Patrick Bocken and Trent Woodhouse also came out on top.
SEHS will host a Class 1A district meet on Thursday. Start time is set for 9 a.m. at Dodger Courts.
