Iowa Central's last home baseball game of the season ended in the win column Tuesday afternoon.
Despite falling behind by a pair of early runs, the 16th-ranked (NJCAA Div. II) Tritons (29-14 overall) rallied for a 9-5 triumph over Div. I foe Marshalltown at Ed Barbour Field.
With the victory, Iowa Central improved to 16-4 here this spring.
"I thought we had very good team offense (Tuesday)," ICCC head coach Rick Pederson said. "We did all the little things well and were able to manufacture some runs with a couple of sacrifice flies.
"I was very happy with how we executed (at the plate)."
Tyler Franko and Will Gormally (Fort Dodge) each delivered three hits for Iowa Central out of the No. 7 and 9 spots in the lineup, respectively. Indiana State signee Andy DeJesus also collected two triples, two runs and two RBI.

"We're probably playing close to our best baseball right now, but we really want to be peaking in May (the Region XI Tournament begins May 8 at Riverfront Stadium in Waterloo)," said Pederson. "We've talked in practice about paying close attention to detail. Our guys need to take pride every time they have possession of the ball."
Gormally crossed the dish twice as well, while driving a run. Michael Kinning notched a RBI double, and Damian Rutherford and Justin Smith each added sacrifice flies. Rutherford, Kinning, Nate Steger, Franko and Ian Ross all came home once.
