EAGLE GROVE - The opportunity to view agricultural-based art created by two Eagle Grove artists is quickly drawing to a close.
Diane O'Hern took third place in the 2013 Iowa State Fair Decorated Egg Contest with her painted egg titled "A Hen Lays One Egg Every 25 Hours."
That egg is now part of the traveling display of contest winners and other notable submissions that is criss-crossing the state until the 2014 state fair commences.
Marion Smith, a second area artist, also has an egg included in the display.
Both pieces are among the eggs available for viewing at the Eagle Grove Memorial Library; however, the display is only there until March 31 when it moves on to Creston.
The contest and traveling display was sponsored by the Iowa Egg Council.
