Olde Boston's Restaurant and Pub is Fort Dodge's premiere downtown destination for delicious food and good times with friends and family. Committed to quality food at reasonable prices, Olde Boston's American fare is sure to please.
Daily specials can be had for $6 or less throughout the week. Tuesdays offer diners Olde Boston's delectable two-piece broasted chicken dinner with two sides for only $5.99 for lunch or dinner. Wednesday's $6 special features any sandwich or salad from the menu. Come weekly to work your way through the listings and discover which offering is your favorite! The Thursday special contributed to Olde Boston's win as The Messenger's Reader's Choice for Best Lady's Night Out. The evening special includes half-price appetizers and flatbreads along with 2 for 1 martinis. It's the perfect night to grab some friends and enjoy the fun together.
The pub portion of the establishment offers twelve different beers on tap and features both domestic and foreign drafts. The Turkey Smokehouse sandwich is a favorite for many patrons while the Twisted Mac and Cheese keeps many folks returning for another helping.
In addition to the unforgettable food and drinks, Olde Boston's offers a game room with pool, darts, foosball and shuffleboard. Open during business hours Monday through Saturday, the game room is a fun way to relax and enjoy playing a favorite game or to learn some new skills. Olde Boston's Restaurant and Pub also provides food and beverage service to those who stop in next door at Golf Central and Hanson's Custom Golf. Has your golf swing begun to atrophy from the long winter? Are you longing to get out and hit the greens again? Golf Central's simulators lets patrons work on their technique and get a jump on the upcoming golf season. They also offer a fitting center and can service golf clubs so that everything will be in top shape when the courses open.
Olde Boston is available for special events. Coming in April and May will be their expanded Sunday Brunch for Easter and Mother's Day festivities. With serving set up in the foyer, the buffet is double its normal Sunday size. The game room, the upstairs seating area and Golf Central areas may each be booked for parties. The game room accommodates 30 for a sit-down meal or 75 for cocktails. Upstairs, Olde Boston can seat 60 with the ability to seat 100 in Golf Central at certain times.
"We're very pleased with our decision to remain downtown," said Michael Payne, manager of Olde Boston's Restaurant and Pub. "It's exciting to see the development and new businesses coming back to and thriving in the downtown area. The crosstown connector is really invigorating the area."
Another big draw to the downtown area is the annual Market on Central, which Payne is the chairperson of this year. "We already have 38 anchor vendors who have committed to being downtown each week during Market on Central. That's more businesses signed on than ever before for this time of year. I expect we'll have several more anchor vendors before the season opens." Payne added that Olde Boston's is busy working on its own menu offerings for Market on Central. Market-goers can find Olde Boston set up right outside their front door. "We're still working on a new niche item that will keep people coming back," said Payne. Fort Dodge's Market on Central has been nationally recognized as #76 on the Top 101 Farmer's Markets in the United States.
