Tanner King hearing continued

The hearing for a man who has requested to take back his guilty plea has been continued to next week.

Tanner J. King, 23, of Fort Dodge, will argue for his motion in arrest of judgment on Feb. 24.

Webster County Attorney Cori Kuhn Coleman said the hearing was continued because King's attorney, Trevor Hook, wasn't able to make it from Des Moines due to the weather.

King had previously pleaded guilty to aiding and abetting second-degree arson, second-degree burglary, second-degree theft and possession of a firearm as a felon. However, on Feb. 7, King's attorney filed the motion to rescind his client's guilty pleas.

If King's guilty pleas are rescinded, his case will continue to trial as if he had never made the pleas to begin with.
