COUNCIL BLUFFS - The 13th-ranked (NJCAA Div. II) Iowa Central women's basketball team posted a 95-81 victory over No. 25 (Div. I) Iowa Western Wednesday night.
St. Edmond graduate and High Point University recruit Lydia Harvey and Jasmine Binion each tallied 22 points for the Tritons (20-4 overall), while Miliakere Koyamainavure added 20 points, seven rebounds and seven assists.
"I was real proud of our kids for getting to 20 wins for a seventh year in a row," said ICCC head coach Craig Carlson. "I've had some teams play awfully well, but I don't know if any of them have played better than we did (last night)."
Katie Dentlinger (14) and Ashley Ray (11) also scored in double figures for Iowa Central, which went 10-for-21 outside the arc. Binion was 5-for-6 on 3-pointers, and Babaye Oja collected six points, 15 boards and seven assists.
Jasmine Trimboli (23) and Simone Gillum (20) led the offensive attack for the Reivers (21-5).
The Tritons welcome Southeastern (7-17) on Saturday for a 1 p.m. tip.
