Jesse Carlson sought for escape

A man who was placed on work release after being paroled is now being sought after allegedly not returning to the work release facility.

Jesse D. Carlson, 23, allegedly failed to return to the Fort Dodge Residential Correctional Facility, 311 First Ave. S., on Friday.

Fred Scaletta, a spokesman for the Iowa Department of Corrections, said Carlson has been on work release since Jan. 30 after being transferred from parole supervision.

Carlson was serving a five-year sentence on an interference with official acts causing serious injury conviction from Oct. 1, 2012.

He is described as a white man with brown hair and brown eyes. He is 5 feet, 10 inches tall and weighs 183 lbs.

Carlson also has tattoos on his right calf, chest, right forearm, right hand and neck.

Anyone with information on Carlson is asked to call either the Fort Dodge Police Department at 573-1426 or Webster County Sheriff's Department at 573-1410.
