TIMOTHY L. ENGLISH

COUNCIL BLUFFS - Timothy L. English, age 62, of Council Bluffs, passed away January 27, 2014 at Mercy Hospital in Council Bluffs. Tim was born August 28, 1951 in Fort Dodge, Iowa to the late Robert and Mary C. (Bemrich) English. He graduated from St. Edmund High School, Ft. Dodge in 1969 and earned his Bachelor of Science in Education from the University of South Dakota in 1973. Tim married Shelley Harder on April 20, 1974 in Vermillion, South Dakota. They were blessed with three children, Regina, Amanda and David. Tim was a banker and loan officer for the past 40 years, currently working for American National Bank. He was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church; Optimist Club; ticket taker for 25+ years at UNL Football Games; avid Bridge player and hunter and fisherman. In addition to his parents, Tim was preceded in death by infant twin brothers, Richard and Robert English, nephew, Jeffrey Marsh and sister-in-law, Linda English. Tim is survived by his wife of 39 years, Shelley English of Council Bluffs; daughters, Regina (fiance', Steve Konfrst) of Omaha, NE, Amanda (Jarrod) Olson of LaVista, NE; son, David (Joy) English of St. Joseph, MO; grandchildren, Delilah and Alexander Olson, Grace and Chloe English; siblings, John English of Ft. Dodge, IA, Judy (Richard) Miller of Solon, IA, Martha (Patrick) Hughes of Olathe, KS, Phil (Elaine) English of Omaha, Mary (Robert) Cass of Ft. Dodge, Sarah Marsh of Brainerd, MN, Elizabeth English of Dubuque, IA, Kathleen (John) Kauble of Coralville, IA; many nieces and nephews. Recitation of the Rosary, Thursday, 6:00 p.m. followed by visitation with the family until 8:00 p.m. at Cutler-O'Neill- Meyer-Woodring Bayliss Park Chapel. Memorial Mass, Friday, 11:00 a.m. at St. Patrick Catholic Church. A luncheon will immediately follow in the parish hall. Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.
