IOWA FALLS - Behind a dominant effort on both ends of the court, the 11th-ranked (NJCAA Div. II) Iowa Central women's basketball team rolled to an 85-42 victory over Ellsworth Saturday afternoon.
After jumping out to a lopsided 43-15 advantage at the break, the Tritons (16-2 overall, 5-1 in the ICCAC) were never challenged.
St. Edmond graduate and High Point University recruit Lydia Harvey (13), Ashley Ray (12) and Miliakere Koyamainavure (12) anchored the balanced scoring attack for Iowa Central.
Katie Dentlinger also contributed 11 points and eight rebounds for the Tritons, while Chayil Henderson and Babaye Oja each added 10. Oja and Harvey grabbed seven and five boards, respectively.
For the Panthers (6-11, 1-4), Jade Campbell led the way with 10 points.
Iowa Central returns to action Wednesday at Des Moines Area (12-7, 4-3). Tip is set for 5:30 p.m. in Boone. The Bears easily prevailed at Iowa Lakes on Saturday, 66-39.
