ROCKWELL CITY - The 10th-ranked (Class 2A) South Central Calhoun girls earned a convincing 66-38 victory over Alta/Aurelia here Friday night.

Haley Birks posted 22 points, while Ashley Henkenius added eight for the Titans (11-2 overall, 2-0 in TLC).

HUMBOLDT - The Humboldt girls fell just short of pulling an upset Friday night, falling 36-33 to eighth-ranked (Class 3A) Hampton-Dumont here.

Lauren Friesth led the Wildcats with 11 points, while Maggie Duffield and Madison Thomas each scored six.

Both Reba Zeller and Abby Strohman scored 10 points for the Bulldogs in the win.

Leading the Lynx was Cassidy Bultena, who scored 14.
