MANSON - Just five players scored for the Manson Northwest Webster boys Friday night, but it was more than enough to defeat Laurens-Marathon, 69-56.

Hudson Spedding dropped in 21 points, while Jackson Johnson contributed 15 and Cal Twait 14.

Leading the Chargers was Tyler Stumbo, who scored 24.

Curt Castenson scored a game-high 33 points to lead the Eagles, while Tristan Ewing chipped in 12.

Dalton Anderson led all scorers with 20, while Brady Dicks added 15 and Dillon Anderson 12 for the Mustangs.

Ethan Wiederin paced the Warriors with 12.

Eagles earn first win

EAGLE GROVE - The Eagle Grove boys picked up their first win of the season Friday night, edging Clarion-Goldfield by a 47-44 final.

Brian Yackle led the way for the Eagles (1-11 overall, 1-10 in the North Central Conference) with 15 points and 13 rebounds.

Jake Wilde (12) and Jordan Wieth (10) each scored in double figures as well for Eagle Grove, which avenged an earlier 70-44 setback to the Cowboys.

Trenton Sann finished with 14 points for Clarion-Goldfield (1-12, 1-10), while Cody Kapka added 10.

HUMBOLDT - The Humboldt boys dropped a 71-67 double overtime decision to Hampton-Dumont on Friday.

Jaxon Heinz tallied 20 points for the Wildcats (8-3 overall, 7-3 in the North Central Conference).

Nick Heider also contributed 16 points for Humboldt, while Jack Curran added 15.

For the Bulldogs (5-8, 4-6), Charlie Flickinger poured in a game-high 26 points. Parker Claypool chipped in 18.

Mason Myers led all scorers with 20 points, including a 12 of 14 performance from the free throw line. Ben Mossman added 15 in the win for the Lynx.

Luke TerHark paced the Bulldogs with 14.

Jake Petzenhauser tallied 23 points for the Titans (9-3 overall), while Jace Neubaum added 14.

For the Warriors (8-4), Mitchel McDonald led the way with eight points.
