KEOKUK - Extending its winning streak to five straight games, the 12th-ranked (NJCAA Div. II) Iowa Central women's basketball team earned a 71-54 victory over Southeastern on Saturday.

The Tritons (14-2 overall, 3-1 in the ICCAC) were never seriously tested after jumping out to a 45-19 lead at the half.

"We just kind of put it on cruise control in the second half, which didn't make me real happy," said ICCC head coach Craig Carlson. "We've kind of been falling into that trap, so hopefully that's not our ammo and we can change things in a hurry."

Katie Dentlinger powered Iowa Central with 17 points. Miliakere Koyamainavure (12), St. Edmond graduate and High Point University recruit Lydia Harvey (11) and Jasmine Binion (10) all reached double digits offensively as well for the Tritons. Babaye Oja also pulled down 14 rebounds, while Theresa Doyle (St. Edmond) dished out four assists.

"Binion gave us a nice lift with 10 points," Carlson said. "We've had pretty good balance all year with our scoring, which makes us kind of a hard team to guard."

Tatiana Nikitina tallied 17 points for the Blackhawks (4-12, 1-3), while Brittany Bryan added 13.
