Humboldt wins again

HUMBOLDT - The Humboldt boys improved to 6-1 overall with a 72-53 win over Webster City here Friday.

Jaxon Heinz (15 points), Nick Heider (14), Austin Zylstra (14), Brady Ross (12) and Jack Curran (11) all had double-figure scoring nights for the Wildcats.

Mason Myers paced Webster City (2-4) with 16 points.

MANSON - The top-ranked (Class 1A) Newell-Fonda boys downed Manson Northwest Webster by a 71-63 count Friday night.

Dillon Anderson contributed 16 points for the Mustangs (7-0 overall).

Connor Wolterman (13) and Brady Bohe (12) both also scored in double figures for Newell-Fonda.

Jackson Johnson and Cal Twait recorded 18 points apiece for the Cougars (5-3).

Ross Friedrich netted a game-high 27 points for Alta-Aurelia.

For the Bulldogs (2-6, 2-4), Cole Miller finished with a game-high 20 points.

ALGONA - The Algona boys rolled past intra-city rival Bishop Garrigan by a 74-32 final Friday night.

Luke TerHark anchored the Bulldogs with 16 points.

Peter Hollinger (12), Trevor Loeschen (11) and Mason Altman (10) each scored in double figures as well for Algona.

Reece Wadle led the Golden Bears with seven points.
