DES MOINES - The 14th-ranked (NJCAA Div. II) Iowa Central women's basketball team easily took care of business against AIB JV Thursday night, posting a lopsided 98-58 victory.
The Tritons (11-2 overall) outscored the Eagles 50-23 in the second half.
Lydia Harvey, a St. Edmond graduate and High Point University signee, paced the Tritons with 20 points, nine rebounds and five assists.
Babaye Oja (12), Ashley Ray (12), Miliakere Koyamainavure (11) and Jasmine Binion (11) each scored in double figures as well for Iowa Central. Oja also grabbed nine rebounds, while Theresa Doyle (St. Edmond) dished out six assists.
"This was a good game for us to go into break on," said ICCC head coach Craig Carlson. "We had 12 kids score (last night), which was nice to see."
After the holiday break, the Tritons visit Iowa Lakes (4-10) on Jan. 4. Tip for the ICCAC matchup is set for 1 p.m.
