WEST DES MOINES - The Fort Dodge swim team ran into top-ranked Dowling here Thursday night, falling 118-52.
Rob Leigh earned a pair of first place finishes for the Dodgers (3-2 overall), claiming the 200 individual medley and 100 butterfly.
Leigh had times of 2:12.57 and 56.78 in his winning events.
Placing second were the 200 medley relay of Caleb Asay, Nick Sanford, Leigh and Josh Lee in 1:49.64, Mitchell Emery in the 200 I.M. (2:17.88) and Lee in the 100 free (52.11).
"This is the best team in the state," FDSH head coach Joel Greathouse said. "It was a learning experience for our younger swimmers because it showed them what it will take to compete with the best."
Earning thirds were Lee in the 50 free (23.55), Emery in the 100 butterfly (1:01.63), Cole Davis in the 500 free (5:35.86), Sanford in the 100 breaststroke (1:12.17) and the 200 and 400 free relays.
"Rob and Josh can compete with anybody in the state and they showed that," Greathouse said.
