Indian girls roll

POCAHONTAS -Hannah Stafford and Elle Ruffridge both scored over 20 points to lead the Pocahontas Area girls over Southeast Webster-Grand 84-31 on Tuesday night.

Stafford had 22 for the Indians (3-1 overall) and Ruffridge had 21.

Josie Ferrari and Kierra Eldrige had seven each for the Eagles (1-4).

ROCKWELL CITY - The 11th-ranked (Class 2A) South Central Calhoun girls rolled to a 77-47 victory over Prairie Valley Tuesday night.

Tyffaney Toms sparked the Titans (4-0 overall) with 22 points.

Haley Birks (15) and Kori Assman (13) were the other top offensive performers for SCC.

Erica Rittgers tallied 15 points for the Warriors (2-2), while Katie Clough added 14.

HUMBOLDT - The Humboldt girls earned their first victory of the season on Tuesday night, beating Bishop Garrigan 57-48.

Avery Terwilliger led the way with 16 points for the Wildcats (1-3 overall, 1-2 North Central Conference). Lauren Friesth added 14 and Madison Thomas had 10.

Taylor Hovey paced the Golden Bears (1-3, 1-2) with 16 points.

MANSON - Third-ranked Manson Northwest Webster cruised to another victory on Tuesday night, knocking off East Sac County 74-38.

Ellie Herzberg led the Cougars (4-0) with 27 points. Faith Troshynski had 14 and Jocelyn Keller added 10.

Jordan Fischer led the Eagles with eight points.

ALGONA - The Clarion-Goldfield girls defeated Algona 55-53 on Tueseday night.

Maddie Disney led the Cowgirls with 23 points and Jossie Sann added 16.

Tangy Wiseman had 17 for Algona and Julie Gretler added 19.

After getting a stop Disney got fouled and hit two free throws to put the Cowgirls up two. With nine seconds left, Hope Polzin got a block to seal the win.

Cassie Gearhart led the Wolverines (0-4 overall) with eight points.

Noreen Morrow finished with a game-high 15 points for the Wolves (4-3).
