BOONE - The Fort Dodge boys swim team finished second at the Boone Invitational on Saturday.
The Dodgers finished with 39 points, with team champion Waukee accumulating 78. Marshalltown (38) was third and Boone (35) was fourth.
The event followed a special dual format for the individual races.
Rob Leigh and Josh Lee finished second in the 2x50 freestyle in 46.62.
Cole Davis and Caleb Asay were second in the 2x100 backstroke in 2:06.08.
Also placing second was the 400 freestyle relay team of Leigh, Mitch Emery, Davis and Lee in 3:32.66.
The medley relay of Asay, Nick Sanford, Leigh and Lee was third in 1:49.68.
Emery and Asay were third in the 2x200 individual medley (5:04.42).
Davis and Emery were third in the 2x100 butterfyly (2:10.12). The 200 freestyle relay team of Leigh, Emery, Davis and Lee was third in 1:35.52.
"We looked good overall,'' said FDSH head coach Joel Greathouse. "We were very consistent. We knew Waukee would take first and it was an exciting race for second."
The Dodgers are back in action on Tuesday at Des Moines East.
