To the editor:
A few days ago a loved one had his golf clubs stolen. ... So why should this particular crime be written about? The loved one I am speaking of is a Vietnam-era veteran and in remission with terminal cancers both brain and lung. Golf is one of his passions that keeps him going. Another of his passions is helping others, and he is always ready to give of himself. Those clubs were very special to him as some were gifts from friends and cannot be replaced. I wanted to share because on a daily basis his display of courage, his love for life and his family and not allowing this thief to dim his laugh or his smile is a true inspiration.
