The 34th annual Czech Slovak Heritage dinner will be held Saturday at the Corpus Christi Parish Center, 405 N. Eighth St. Social hour begins at 5 p.m. with wine, beer, coffee and punch, and the buffet dinner will begin at 6 p.m.
Tickets are $18 per person and can be purchased at Tea Thyme or by mailing a check to Dee Busse, 122 Exposition Drive, Fort Dodge, IA 50501. Call Busse with any questions at 570-8007. The event is open to everyone, no Czech or Slovak ancestry necessary.
The menu includes roast pork, dilled green beans, rye bread, dill pickles, dumplings, sauerkraut, applesauce and kolace, a Czech pastry. The meal will be catered by Tea Thyme assisted by Jim Ertl. Ertl has been involved in preparing the meal in 32 of the last 33 years.
