Wrapping up play in its own invitational, the Iowa Central volleyball team bounced back with a sweep of Ellsworth here Saturday at Hodges Fieldhouse.

Scores were 25-21, 25-14 and 25-13.

Caitlin Poppen (Manson Northwest Webster) and Kelci Larson each collected eight kills for the Tritons (18-21 overall).

Kennedi Simon (7 kills, 3.5 blocks and 2 aces), Bishop Garrigan graduate Chelsi Lanus (7 kills and 2 blocks), Emma Irvin (21 assists and 2 aces) and Nichole Oberfoell (18 digs) were the other top performers for Iowa Central.

"We showed sparks of playing some really good ball this weekend," said ICCC head coach Fredrick Wagner. "We were just firing on all cylinders against an Ellsworth team that was playing really well."

Iowa Central returns to action Wednesday, hosting No. 8 (Div. II) Kirkwood (29-6).
