Pingel — 90 years old

WEBSTER CITY — Eugene (Gene) Pingel, Webster City, will celebrate his 90th birthday on Oct. 23.
Cards may be sent to him at 1424 Superior St., Apt. 1, Webster City, IA 50595.
His family includes Mary and Kenny Kruger, Webster City; and Sue and Doug Seltz, Clare. He has five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Wife Mildred is deceased.
Pingel was born on Oct. 23, 1923, on a farm east of Fort Dodge. He attended rural schools and graduated from Fort Dodge Senior High School in 1941. He served in the Army during WW II. Following the war, he married Mildred Lund and farmed near Vincent. He later became co-owner of the Vincent Lumber Co. He retired in 1985 and moved to Webster City in 2009.
