A teenager who was stabbed last weekend at the Fort Dodge Senior High homecoming dance had his condition upgraded as he continues to recover.

Lucas Fiala, 17, of Knierim, is now in fair condition, according to a representative from UnityPoint Des Moines. Previously, Fiala was in serious condition after the incident on Oct. 5.

That night, Fiala was allegedly stabbed by Max Bly, 17, a FDSH student, at the homecoming dance. Fiala, a Manson Northwest Webster senior, was initially taken to Trinity Regional Medical Center before being airlifted to a Des Moines hospital.

Bly has been charged as an adult with willful injury. He is being held on $10,000 bond.
