The St. Edmond Concert Chorus, Celtic Choir and Gael Singers will host the 31st annual Sioux City Diocesan Catholic Choral Festival on Wednesday.
Other schools participating in this event include LeMars Gehlen, Kuemper Catholic High School, of Carroll; Bishop Heelan High, of Sioux City; and Bishop Garrigan High School, of Algona.
More than 250 students will perform in the festival. All schools will come together to sing massed chorus pieces. Also, some schools will present a special performance by their own ensembles, including the Concert Chorus' rendition of "Requiem," arranged by Craig Hella Johnson.
An afternoon of rehearsal will conclude with a concert at 7 p.m. at the St. Edmond Catholic High School gymnasium. The concert will be one hour.
This event is only held at St. Edmond Catholic School every five to six years.
Admission is $3 for adults and $1 for senior citizens and students.
