The annual fall park festival will begin at 5 p.m. today at John F. Kennedy Memorial Park, north of Fort Dodge. The event, hosted by the Webster County Conservation Board, is designed to get people of all ages more in touch with nature. Dress for ever-changing weather conditions. All activities are free, but freewill donations will be accepted.
BB gun shooting, archery, atlatl dart throwing, canoeing, kayaking, geocaching, a casting contest, dog training demo, dragon boat shuttles, and hayrack rides will be offered.
At 8 p.m., "World's Weirdest Animals" will be the featured outdoor movie at the Veteran's Park amphitheater, at the west entrance of Kennedy Park. Concessions available.
