To the editor:

On behalf of the Webster County Conservation Board and Staff, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to Terry Moehnke and the Fort Dodge Noon Sertoma Club for their continued development of the Veteran's Memorial Park at John F. Kennedy Park.

The Veterans' Memorial began in 2008 and has been through four phases of development and improvements. It's hard to visit the park without seeing Terry and friends pulling weeds, setting pavers, or watering trees.

The most recent addition to the park is a 24-by-44 foot open picnic shelter, complete with a concrete walkway, site lighting, parking lot, and landscaping. This improvement was a joint effort between the Noon Sertoma Club and the Webster County Conservation Board. The project would not have been possible without the generous donations from Woodruff Construction & Design, Fort Dodge Asphalt Co., Electrical Advantage, Wayne Bruss, Bacon Builders, and Bachman Painting. We truly appreciate your hard work and sacrifices that went in to this project.

It is an honor and privilege to care for this memorial celebrating the lives of our service men and women. The Veteran's Memorial Park has been a great addition to Kennedy Park and has far exceeded our expectations! Job well done!
