Business leaders, plant managers, human resource professionals and educators are being urged to attend a work force summit being held from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Iowa Central Community College, East Campus.
"Workforce is mission critical to the Greater Fort Dodge region. In the past 24 months, over 600 jobs have been created. Indicators are pointing to additional job creation with the development of Iowa's Crossroads of Global Innovation as well as natural expansions of our existing industry. Workforce is top of mind when all of these companies are expanding or investigating locating in the region. The goal of the summit is to bring professionals that have workforce concerns and firsthand experience in recruiting, hiring and retaining individuals and draw out like challenges and successes that companies can share as best practices," according to a press release provided by the Greater Fort Dodge Growth Alliance.
