Gloria Jean Gregerson was born June 1, 1942 to Arthur Louis Ludwig and Dorothy Alice (Strine) Ludwig in Fort Dodge. After attending schools in Fort Dodge and Moorland, she graduated from Callendar High School.
Gloria is survived by her husband of 41 years, Arnold Gregerson. The couple was united in marriage on March 4, 1972. Gloria is also survived by her daughter, Sherri (Porter) Motl and her husband Tim of Fort Dodge; brother, David Ludwig of Fort Dodge; several-in-laws and various family members of cousins, nieces, and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charles Porter; brothers, Arthur and Robert Ludwig and multiple in-laws.
Gloria was a caretaker to many family members and others. She worked at a grocery store and Globe Union when she was younger. However, her life work was as a self employed house keeper. She sometimes worked for more than one generation in some families. An excellent seamstress, Gloria made countless prom dresses, did multiple weddings, bridal gowns, alterations of all types, and sewed many other creations. Gloria enjoyed bird watching, trips, and going to garage sales with Arnold. She enjoyed hearing Arnold's tales of fishing, mushroom hunting, and years of hunting. She was very close to her brother, David and enjoyed spending time with him. Most of all Gloria loved spending time with Arnold and sharing time with others.
Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
