SAC CITY - The Sac County Quilt-A-Fair will be Sept. 21 and 22 at the Sac County fairgrounds in Sac City. This biennial festival celebrates all kinds of quilts and will feature a tractor ride for the first time this year.
Registration for the tractor ride begins at 7:30 a.m. Sept. 21 at the fairgrounds, with coffee and doughnuts available for the participants. The ride begins at 9 a.m.
The route for the tractor ride is on hard surface roads that will allow drivers to view about 17 of Sac County's rural barn quilts, as well as all the quilt blocks on the fairgrounds buildings. Riders will stop at the conservation building at Hagge Park for a morning break, then will proceed toward Lake View. The lunch break will take place along Black Hawk Lake. There is no registration fee.
