Meridians need singers, tryouts Thursday

MANSON - Tryouts for this year's Manson Meridian Singers will be held from 6:45 to 8:55 p.m. Thursday at the Manson Northwest Webster Junior-Senior High School vocal music room.

At this point, there are not enough singers signed up yet to have a group. Singers are needed in each section for this year's group, especially on the men's parts.

"Hopefully, there will be some new singers audition to replace vacancies that have occurred due to current members' health issues and scheduling conflicts. Without new singers auditioning this year, the group may not be able to continue performing for the greater Manson area," said Director Jerrold Jimmerson. "If you've ever thought about being a part of the Manson Meridian Singers, this would be a good time to try out.'

Anyone who still wishes to audition for this year's group but has not yet signed up for a tryout time should come to the school and wait for an open time. Audition music will be available at the school prior to the audition.

Call Jimmerson with any questions at (712) 469-2797.
