NEWS: The Fort Dodge City Council and Webster County Board of Supervisors came to a final agreement about parking arrangements for the renovated Beh Building.

SPORTS: Fort Dodge's Amber Vaughn was named a Class 3A special mention selection by the Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union.

Aug. 28, 1988

NEWS: Skip Martin, of rural Clare, broke with tradition and brought an all-white breed of sheep South Down - to the Iowa State Fair.

SPORTS: Former Rockwell City resident Roger Aegerter visited all 363 golf courses in Iowa and wrote a book about them called "Golf Courses of Iowa."

NEWS: Vincent Mayor Merl Lock died of a heart condition at Mercy Hospital.
