Trinity Regional Medical Center has been identified by Healthgrades as among the top hospitals in the nation in terms of the experience of the Medicare patients it serves. This conclusion is based on Healthgrades' analysis of public information from the federal Medicare program including both clinical data reported to Medicare by the hospital and patient satisfaction surveys. In recognition of this performance, Trinity is one of the hospitals selected to receive a Healthgrades 2013 Outstanding Patient Experience Award. Only 12 Iowa hospitals were so honored this year.
"As hospitals continue to struggle with the delivery of high-quality, safe care in the face of mounting financial and regulatory pressures, the hospitals who have achieved Healthgrades 2013 Outstanding Patient Experience Award stand above the rest in terms of providing the most positive experience for patients during their hospital stay," said Evan Marks, Healthgrades executive vice president for informatics and strategy. "This exceptional performance reflects a commitment to superior quality of clinical care."
