Taylor seeks another term on FD council

Fort Dodge City Councilman Mark Taylor is seeking a second term in office.

Taylor, 100 Fifth St. N.W., represents Ward 1, which includes western and northwestern Fort Dodge, Pleasant Valley and much of downtown.

The candidate is a native of Fort Dodge who retired from the U.S. Army after 24 years of service. He is a graduate of Fort Dodge Senior High and has a bachelor's degree from Wayland Baptist University in Honolulu, Hawaii.

Other candidates in the council race so far include Councilman Kim Alstott, Ward 4; Richard Higgins, Ward 3; and Councilman Don Wilson, Ward 2.

Councilmembers elected from the wards serve two-year terms.
