GREELEY, Colo. - Kerwin (Bud) Harold Williams passed away August 1, 2013 in Greeley, CO. He was born on July 26, 1942 on a farm North of Stratford, IA and grew up in the same area. He graduated from Stratford High School in 1960. He became a farrier through training at California Polytech, San Luis Obispo, CA in 1963. For the next 20 years, Bud made his living by shoeing horses and shearing sheep in Hamilton, Webster, and Boone Counties. They moved to the Hill country of Texas and then to Fort Collins, CO where Bud became the Night Manager of the Fort Collins Sale Barn. He retired in 2006.
Bud was preceded in death by his wife, Marcia Vegors Williams, his parents, J Harold and Ramona Williams, and sister, Kay Berdar. He is survived by his 2 sons, Shawn (Annamie) Williams of Greeley, CO and Heath (Traci) Williams of Kendalville, IN, 2 sisters, Karen (Leigh) Wyborny of Houston, TX and Kathryn (Dallas) Paulsen of Maricopa, AZ, a brother-in-law, Wes Berdar of Hermiston, OR, 3 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren.
Interment of both Bud and Marcia will be at the Vegors Cemetery NW of Stratford at a later date.
