Dr. John D. Calisesi, Fort Dodge chiropractor, was re-elected chairman of the Iowa Board of Chiropractic for the second consecutive year during the board's July 10 meeting.
The IBC is part of the Iowa Department of Public Health and appointments are made by the governor's office. Its functions include reviewing applications for licensure, serving as jury on disciplinary hearings and complaints, and seeing that continuing education requirements are current.
Calisesi will appoint members of this board to the discipline, continued education, and licensure and rules committees. The IBC is served by five professional and two public members.
