Motorcycle education class offered

Two July Motorcycle Rider Education classes are being offered at Iowa Central Community College, Transportation Technology Center, Fort Dodge. The classes will consist of two components: five hours of classroom and 10 hours of range time.

The classroom portion for both classes will be from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. July 26 with a choice of two different ranges being offered. Range 1 is from 7 a.m. to noon July 27-28, and Range 2 is from 1 to 6 p.m. July 27-28.

The Motorcycle Rider Education course is required by Iowa law to obtain a motorcycle endorsement on your driver's license for all residents under age 18. Students must be at least 14 years old and hold a DOT driver's permit or license.
