The Fort Dodge girls golf team placed fifth in their own invitational on Monday at the Country Club.
The Dodgers carded a 412. Waukee (315) and Ankeny (344) led the way.
Kylie Kuiper (94), Payton Christy (101), Angie Ellendson (106), Ciara Sturm (111), Jozlynn Porter (116) and Alex Hays (118) all competed for FDSH.
"I thought our girls played very well, and our scores are gradually coming down," said Fort Dodge head coach Kristi Clark. "The weather was absolutely spectacular. Our girls definitely have an understanding of where they need to be now with regionals coming up (5A competition will be held here Monday). I have high hopes for the next couple of days."
Payton Minear (75) of Waukee took home medalist honors.
Marshalltown's Katie Lynch also recorded a hole-in-one, using an 8-iron on the par-three, 125-yard No. 11 hole.
Sam Berning (109) paced the Dodger junior varsity.
The Dodgers return to action today at the Ames Invite. Start time is set for 3:30 p.m. at Veenker Memorial.
