Five members of the Iowa Central softball team earned all-Region XI honors, announced recently.
Chelsy Krantz, a graduate of Fort Dodge Senior High, and Sammie Hildreth each earned first team honors, while Katie Newbury was placed on the second team.
Haley Rustvold, another ex-Dodger, and Kelsey Penneau were named honorable mention.
Krantz, an outfielder, hit .500 this year, the third-highest mark in Triton history, and had 61 hits and three triples. She alsos cored 29 runs and stole 18 bases.
Rustvold, who missed time with an injury, hit .377 with eight doubles between playing second and third base.
Hildreth led Iowa Central with eight home runs and 34 runs scored, while Newbury hit .391 and scored 13 runs. Penneau, the lone sophomore, batted .397 with a home run.
