The St. Edmond boys tennis team earned a 9-0 victory over Iowa Falls-Alden on Tuesday just a number of days before districts.
The Gaels (7-1 overall) will host a Class 1A district meet at Dodger courts on Thursday, as senior Aaron Chalstrom seeks his fourth state appearance.
Chalstrom, a 6-0, 6-1 winner, has placed second three times at state.
"The score doesn't show it, but Aaron had some tough points," SEHS head coach Jacob Short said. "He really gave Aaron a tough match."
John Eide, who was behind 4-0 in the first set, rallied to win 13 of the next 15 points and sweep. Ben Albright, Jimmy Averill, Zach Gailey and Pat Hancock also earned singles wins.
"The kids played well," Short said. "This was a good dual to have right before districts."
