WEBSTER CITY - Eddie Doyle fired a 70 to claim meet-medalist honors at the Webster City Lynx Invitational Tuesday.
St. Edmond (315) placed third overall, as the Lynx claimed team honors with a 312.
Clear Lake (314) was second followed by the Gaels, South Hamilton, Humboldt and Ballard.
Doyle shot a 34 on his second nine three birdies.
"We played another good tournament against quality teams in ideal conditions,'' said St. Edmond head coach Dan Streit. "Eddie played very well. He's striking the ball well.
"We're playing well and just losing by one stroke here and there and hopefully we can take it into sectionals.''
Robert Flattery carded a 76, Michael Faiferlick an 81, David Flattery an 88, Harrison Mayer a 90 and Cal Coleman a 96.
For Webster City, Alec Fuhs shots a 74 and Avery Fuhs carded a 76. Logan Yates chipped in a 78 and John Ferrell an 84.
Humboldt's Christian Birdsell had a 76 and Colton Schnetzer fired a 79. Brendon Schnell (84) and Austin Gargano (85) were the other counters.
The Gaels will travel to Carroll for sectionals on Friday.
