EAGLE GROVE - Matthew Thomas Brandrup was born October 25, 1969, in Mankato, Minnesota to Jack Brandrup and Candace (Steinhoff). His family moved to the Portland, Oregon area when he was 5 years old, where he was raised and educated, graduating from Aloha High School in 1987.

On September 3, 1994, Matt was united in marriage with Courtney Anctil in Portland.

Matt worked in a number of capacities for Fred Meyer, Inc in Portland from 1991 until leaving his position as Operations Manager in 2004 to move to Eagle Grove, where the couple has resided and raised their three children. Matt also worked at Electrolux, but his greatest joy was being a "stay-at-home" dad and devoted father.
