The Webster County Board of Supervisors approved a request from the Webster County Conservation Board to waive a conditional use permit fee for the expansion of the Gypsum City OHV Par k during their meeting Tuesday.
Conservation Director Matt Cosgrove said the expansion will include construction of a campground, trail expansions and signage at the park.
Cosgrove said bids will be let for the campground construction in June, with a visit from Forest Service also expected in June.
"We expect there will be a lot of activity in late summer at the OHV park," said Cosgrove.
In other business, the board approved the purchase of switches for a new phone system from Gov Connection in the amount of $18,080 and approved a three year contract for the Webster County Attorney's Office with Westlaw in the amount of $463.40 per month.
The board also approved the employment of Matthew J. Valentine and Emily Johnson as part-time correctional officers at $13.87 per hour and the transfer of Brandi Weinzetl from part-time correctional officer to part-time transport officer at the rate of $12 per hour.
