For the first time in program history, the St. Edmond boys golf team earned top honors at the CYO meet here Wednesday at Lakeside.
The Gaels carded a 318. Bishop Garrigan (341) and LeMars Gehlen (363) were a distant second and third.
"Getting our first-ever win at the CYO Tournament is a real accomplishment," said SEHS head coach Dan Streit. "I'm very proud of our guys."
Eddie Doyle (78) finished as individual medalist for SEHS, while teammate Robert Flattery (79) turned in a runner-up effort.
Rounding out the St. Edmond lineup were Michael Faiferlick (80), David Flattery (81), Cal Coleman (82) and Harrison Mayer (89). All six Gaels placed in the top 12.
Jess Marlow (81), Victor Berte (86), Michael Berke (86), Taylor Illg (88) and Andrew Lallier (90) were all in action for the Golden Bears. Marlow tied for fourth overall.
