Iowa State University Extension and Iowa Small Business Development will host a Food Safety Workshop from 8:30 a.m. to noon on April 26 at the Webster County Extension office, 217 S. 25th St., Suite C12, Fort Dodge.
Presenters include Dr. Angela Shaw, assistant professor and Extension specialist; Dr. Catherine Strohbehn, adjunct professor and Extension specialist; and Sara Kingland, food safety specialist. All have multiple years of experience in food safety and sanitation research, food microbiology and HACCP implementation.
This half-day training features food safety experts from ISU and the Iowa Department of Inspections and Appeals. The cost of the workshop is $10 and will be used to off-set direct expenses and to support the county's Extension families program.
