Fort Dodge Police patrol officer Joe Roetman talks to a 28 year-old who was sitting on the Kenyon Road Bridge Tuesday afternoon. The man later came off the bridge on his own. The incident closed the bridge for about 45 minutes.

The incident caused traffic on the Kenyon Road bridge to be shut down in both directions while officers talked the man off the ledge.

The Webster County Sheriff's Department, Iowa State Patrol and Fort Dodge Fire Department also responded to the scene.
