FARNHAMVILLE - The Prairie Valley spring play will be "The Massively Exciting Adventure Of Maki Phundishadipour at Deep River Falls Senior High," a three-act comedy written and directed by Dave Stokesbary. Performances are at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday at the Prairie Valley Elementary School Auditorium, north of Farnhamville.

All seats are general admission. Tickets are $8 for adults and $5 for students, and can be reserved by calling the high school office at 352-3142, purchased at the high school office in Gowrie during regular business hours or at the door on the night of the performances, as available.

The story follows Maki Phundishadipour, son of a poor Indian goat farmer. He comes to Deep River Falls as a foreign exchange student and is mistaken for the great, great grandson of a maharaja. The situation is further complicated by a couple of desperate custodians, a less-then-honest school administrator, an overly proper English teacher and a clash of misunderstandings.

The cast includes Wyatt Hanna as Maki Phundishadipour and Nicole Burbridge as the frumpy Hortensia Biggebuttes. Travis Goodale plays Officius D. Sternmonger. Keirsten McGuire is custodian Eunice Sinkhole and Jalen Fuss plays her brother and fellow custodian Melvin Sinkhole Jr. Taylor Nelson plays Ned Wabash who is mooning over Peggy Mahoney, played by Anna Heatherington. Rebecca Nellis is Peggy's friend Becky Tuggsley, and Jake Tutak plays Becky's slow-on-the-draw brother Buck. Maria Towne is the social minded president of the student body, Litany Eckelbender. Miranda Keith and Hannah Fiala play the Stencil twins, Ibid and Ditto, and Keygan Barber is Mrs. Mahoney. Kendall Sandgren doubles up as the foreign exchange official and Sister Sheriff Angelica Kopnicki. Andrew Gibb is coach Yuel Throwbacker, and Jake Luna is FBI Agent Shaquel.
